5 Tips to Get Authentic Photos that are as Real as Your Love
Your wedding photos should do more than show what happened—they should bring you back to how it felt. The warmth of a whispered secret, the weight of a hand in yours, the laughter that lingers.
Here’s how to make it happen.
1. Stay Close
Hold hands. Lean in. Let your bodies naturally find each other throughout the day. Lead one another. This makes for photos of real and true connection and your caring for one another.
2. Skip the Choreographed Dance—But Dance Long
Forget the pressure of perfect steps. Just move. Hold each other close. Sway. Stay on the floor through your whole song. This allows me to get the safe beautiful shots and some more artistic, creative moments.
3. Whisper Secrets
Tell them how good they look. Share an inside joke. Say I love you when no one else is listening. The quiet, in-between moments are where the magic lives and the more you do this, the more likely I am to capture you telling one another the truth.
4. Let the Dress Get Dirty
A wedding dress isn’t just meant to be worn—it’s meant to be lived in. Walk barefoot. Sit in the grass. Run through the sand. Embrace the moment, not perfection. A dirty dress dosen't even really show up on photos and trust me, it's not as dirty as you think.
5. Feel Everything
Laugh loud. Cry freely. Don’t hold back. The best photos aren’t posed—they’re honest. Let yourself feel the day, and trust your photographer to give you the best.
Let’s Keep It Real
If you want wedding photos that feel like you, let’s talk.
