On December 26, 2023...
I left a new camera sitting on a playground in Pioneer, CA. I had saved for a year to make the purchase, so I could grow my business. It was a busy day - my youngest son's birthday. After making breakfast and cupcakes, we went to the park with family, played baseball, rested on the benches, watched the kids run and the dog get into things. I grabbed the snack bag and walked away from my livelihood.
I quickly realized that if I was going to get my camera back I would have to reach out to friends and the community. I posted on local social media and sent texts a few friends. Within 48 hours I was back at the park, picking up my camera thanks to a few good samaritans who found it in their heart to give instead of take.
I love this community. I could not do my job or my life without people who support one another and trust one another. This event inspired me to build a program that specifically bolsters the place I live, the place I love.

It's about empowering individuals and supporting dreams through the lens of generosity.
